I have posted on here before about a project I'm doing for my church. The whole thing is 18 mins long so I cant really post the whole thing up. I wanted to share the ending of the film. If yoy want more info about this please e-mail me. Its going to be shown next weekend then sold on DVD w/ extras and so on. I'd like to hear your thoughts about the ending. Please note that I have rights to use passion of the christ music. Thank you for you time.

Re: 125th - Ending

Its the churches 125th Anniverary. They wanted to share some history and give some insight into the church. The project has been in production for 6 months on and off. Maybe this was a bad idea. Since your not able to see the whole thing. I cant aleast let you see the intro.

MD,

I just watched the opening, great work!
Many nice elements blended smoothly together.
I like the sepia timelapse segments.
Gotta go. Thanks for posting.

Re: 125th - Ending

I want to give you my honest opinion. The visuals are very strong and I really like the voiceover (your wife?) The setup for the story is quite good also. The "Shine" effect has been done to death but in this context it's quite appropriate I think.

The ending, on the other hand, I feel, is way over the top. It has the look of a big blockbuster horror movie to my eyes. There's a huge emphasis on your company name which I think is a little much given that it's not about the filmmaker but about the church and your logo, etc. overpowers that.

I'm looking at all of this with a critical and objective eye, of course but I'm sure the members of that church will just salivate over it.     ;)

Overall it looks very professional but, like I said, I think some of the tone is too much and a little misleading in terms of it being about a small church and not world domination.

How come you didn't post this in the screen grabs/clips section?

Re: 125th - Ending

Please note that this production has been in the works for 6 months. I spend a lot of my own money to pay for things. In the end, the church wanted to give me something in return. They said I could put my info at the ending credits for help with starting my new company. I also feel that you need to see the whole thing to really understand it all. Its about 18 mins long so your missing a lot. I didn't post this in the screen grab/clips because its not DVX (GL2). If I can encode everything right, I'll post more, I think that will help. Thanks for your comments.

Re: 125th - Ending

I understand that I am seeing it out of context and I hope you did not take offense to my comments.
