Jeez I spend too much time on line.


Not a problem though, this is my film school. I owe what I know to the great folks at DVXuser.


The Date is August 8th 2004. A young sculptor joins DVXuser, looking to shoot Video Art....The big questions were; "whats that clunk?" and "Wet tapes? or Dry tapes?". Barry Convinced me to buy a DVX over a PD150. 8 years pass..... DVX100 and Zero knowledge about cinema to professional DP with my own company. Been a helluva ride.

Thanks everyone that helped me get here.

Barry Green, Mark Harris, Jarred Land, Jack D Stanley, John Hudson, Issac Brody, Luis Caffesse, Stephen Mick and countless others.

A lot of mistakes were made, bullets dodged, and crisis' averted. Yet, a lot of work, sweat and struggle have paid off.

Any one can make it. You just have to be unwilling to quit.

You've earned every success you enjoy, my friend. And as great as your work has been up to now, I'm sure your best is yet to come.
 
This thread is beyond inspirational, and shows just what happens when we stop sitting on our asses! Congrats to you Timur, you surely deserve everything you've accomplished.
 
Been shooting 15 years but still learning from posts like yours Timur.
Maybe we should start a thread, "Ask Timur Civan anything..." : )
 
But honestly, i've been away from DVXuser for a while. I want to be here more and help the new comers, like barry did (and still does) so many years ago. There should be no fear in sharing knowledge.
