1080p WorkFlow Problem!!!

Ok so I shot my footage at 1080 24fps. I converted it to AIC in MpegStreamClip then brought it into FCP. Everything was fine until I realized a few jitters in my footage...and I know it wasnt the camera because my footage was stable. It went away after awhile, but then came back when I cropped the top and bottom of my video. The bars seem to shake a bit...I then down rezzed the same source footage to 720p and brought it into FCP and everything worked fine. Should I just continue to edit in 720p and then UpRez to 1080p after I export from FCP? Any suggestions guys?

Don't use Apple Intermediate codec. It is very lossy. Convert to ProRes.

1080p from what source? You might convert with another method other than MPEG STREAMCLIP....

I'm converting to AIC because I have Final Cut Pro 5 and Pro Res does not respond well with my system capabilities. I shot my footage on a canon 60D and I don't know what other formats other than AIC that I can successfully convert to.
