1080P and 720P same timeline?

How can I use 1080P and 720P HVX footage in the same timeline and project in FCP. Is there any advantages to shooting some of my scenes in 1080P in a 720P project or should I just stick with all 720P?

My project is mostly 720P because I can use more frame rate with the HVX200 but some of the 24P stuff can be shot in 1080P...

the real world resolution of the HVX is around 800 lines of resolution. so if i were you i'd just stick with the 720/24p modes.

Final Cut Pro DOES NOT support a "Open Timeline." Either convert one format to the other, or have to resize and render.

Shooting 1080 then down-converting to 720 will look slightly better than native 720...although the workaround doesn't seem worth it.
