Can anyone tell me the way to deal with and export DVCPRO HD 1080p 25 footage in FCP?
When I go to File - Export - QuickTime Movie, the only options available under DVCPRO HD for 1080 are 1080i50, 1080i60, 1080p24 and 1080p30. Shouldn't there also be an option for 1080p25?
You may have guessed I'm in PAL land (and I also don't have the camera yet - picking it up from the shop next week). Also, in Sequence settings, the only options for DVCPRO HD are 1080i50, 1080i60, 720p50 and 720p60.
I want to shoot progressive at the highest possible resolution - the specs for the HVX say that you can record in 1080/25p (over 50i) but how do I deal with this footage in FCP? Do I have to deal with any 1080 footage in an interlaced timeline? (I'm using FCP 5.1.4 btw.) Does this mean that my final output must be interlaced? Will I lose the progressive look of my footage?
