1080i to dvd settings for premiere

Hello Everyone,

i am wondering how people convert their 1080i 30p footage to dvd format in premiere.

so far, i am importing my clip, then interpreting it to dvd widescreen 1.2 pixels then scaling it down to 45%.

Is this the right way to convert the footage or am i missing something?

In your HD timeline, export the file as a 720x480 MPEG then burn to DVD. Or you can have Premiere burn the DVD for you right in the timeline.

i didn't know it rescaled the video for output. you were right, it works like a charm.

but i should have at least tried it before going into the resizing stuff :happy: oh well, another day another lesson learned
