1080i HDV edit settings on FCP 6

Hello,

I've been searching to find solution for my problem but couldn't find any.
Here is my question.

I have footage shot from a consumer HDV camera (Sony HC-3) which is 1080i, and have it properly captured on my hard drive. Now I'm trying to edit on FCP 6.

1) I set the Easy Setup to HDV 1080i 60 Firewire Basic. Is this right?

2) How should I set the Sequence Setting so that I'm editing full quality video?
Currently it's at NTSC DV (3:2), NTSC - CCIR 601, Lower (Even), 29.97, and DV/DVCPRO NTSC.
I tried checking Anamorphic 16:9 but I don't know if I should.

3) I want to be able to see the letterbox on a regular TV, and full size on HDTV. What should I do to achieve this?
When I drop footage into timeline, it asks me whether to change the setting according to clip settings. What should I pick?

4) Any other settings I need to change for HDV editing?

Ouch so many questions...
Any help would be appreciated!!
Thanks!

1. Use HDV 1080i60 (not FW basic)
2. To change your Seq settings hit command+0, click the "load seq presets" button in the lower left hand corner and select HDV 1080i60
3. You can't view HDV via FW like you can DV. If you want to view your HDV sequence on an external monitor you'll need hardware like a Kona card or Matrox MXO.
