i thought i had the correct workflow to fix this issue but apparently it didn't work.

shot footage on the hvx in 1080 24p, not 24pa, and the footage is to be mixed with a1 24f footage.

i tried the tools>remove advance pulldown option, that changes all the clips to 23.98, but still leaves some interlacing lines in every 4th frame.

and i tried using cinema tools but that didn't help any either.

any suggestions?

1080/24p doesn't use "advanced" pulldown, so that won't solve the issue. You should have shot in 24pA. ALWAYS use 1080/24pA.

Now that you've got 1080/24p footage, you'll have to try to process it through Cinema Tools to get rid of the 2:3 pulldown.
