1080 still image export... goes out anamorphic?!

Trying to export stills from some 1080 P2 clips, and they come out with an anamorphic squeeze! No options to be found for this. Ideas?

It records in anamorphic. The best way to export full-raster grabs in FCP, is to bring up the footage in full-resolution in your preview/canvas window. Then look in your applications folder and open up the program called "Grab". Then return to your FCP window and click the "grab" program icon. Go to Capture, then Selection, then drag the curser across the window. And PRESTO! A nice losless tiff file!

Some people export the still in finalcut then open it up in Photoshop to expand it, but there is some quality loss that way...

It's actually the other way around. Screengrabbing off FCP is getting the proxy monitor image with reduced color depth. Export to an uncompressed TIF from the File menu and you'll get the best possible image quality still. And then resize to unsqueeze in Photoshop.
