108 pages

Charli

cool little "title"
I just finished my latest script, 108 pages, crime action and the kick is - I wrote this script in 2 weeks! DANG.

I had enrolled in writer's bootcamp, learned so much there in just 6 weeks, well, the assignment after class was to construct a draft and usually, it takes me about 3 months to get a draft ready, no such luck on that kinda time. I was forced to write, write, write my butt off. I wrote from 9am-6pm almost everyday for two straight weeks and I finally have a product that I am very proud of.

Lesson learned: ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE with the right attitude, heart and mind.

congrats! the screenplay for Heart of Now is just over 80 pages and I've been writing and revising since November 2006. I envy you.

Gongratulations for your effort too.
Sometimes is really difficult to push our selfs.

I write a lot of lines every day, but that would be for code scripts...

Hey Charli, congrats. :)

I'm quitting my job in about 3 weeks to pursue the acting / filmmaking, so your "attitude, heart, and mind" advice will definitely be used by me. :)

108 pages? I thought you were referring to the "Brandon needs cheering up" thread... :cheesy:

Wow, great job, Charli!

2 weeks? Dang, that's awesome! I just finished mine and it only took 65 times longer to finish. But I had 19 more pages, so there you go. Good luck pimping that mother out.

I think Barry wrote 108 pages worth of stuff to put into the next dvxuser festival... at least that's what rumor has it...

I guess I should have made myself more clear, what's so special about this draft is that it is near POLISHED draft, with only one draft, period. So as I wrote each scene, the scene was very, very smooth, very little mistakes, very polished. Usually your first draft needs tons of rework, not this one.

I learned something new, not from any class, not from any book, I learned to removed myself from the following when writing:

Anxiety
Panic
Frustration
Worry
Self-doubt
Disbelief

and I embraced this:

Imagination
Confidence
Positive Attitude
and lots and lots of prayer

If you remove self-doubt and disbelieve from your mind, anything is possible.

I'm so not a writer... I finished my first rough rough draft for the project that I'm starting to work on now and just said the hell with it... let me find someone else to write this thing...

I have both, MM Screenwriter and Final Draft 7. For me, FD7 just "feels" better. Not very scientific, I know, but we use what works for us and "feels" good.

I can't use anything else but Final Draft and have tried MM, Celtx, and a few others. Final Draft is the most streamlined and natural feeling.

Tab write tab tab write tab shift tab write. It works.
