10 second shots for edit challenge

An idea, for those with or without a camera really.



Take a 10 second shot, whatever subject you like (shot with a DVX or otherwise). ANYTHING at all (keep it clean).

Post a link to the clip.

When there are enough clips posted for your liking, edit them into some sort of "story". How you use or cut the clips is up to you.

Any sound track you like.

Post the resulting final edit for all to see.

                    THE RULES


The final edit MUST be made ONLY from one or more of the posted 10 second clips.

And the final edit MUST NOT exceed 1 minute in length (not even by one second).






This is from an exercise of mine in teaching Steadicam techniques.

At least put up some beef jerky and a 6 pack, or nobody will feel compeled to enter!!

It has truly become sad when people need the lure of a prize before anyone "will feel compeled to enter!!"

... I was being sarcastic ...
Hence the beer and jerkey joke...
I dont mind entering a contest for no prizes,
The opportunity to make something just for
the fun of making it and letting others see it
is reward enough for me, and I know that you
(well obviously...) and everyone else on this
site would agree.

Interesting idea. In fact, there's probably a bunch of 10 second shots in all of the various clips that have been posted.

That BS. If theres was a 10 thousand dollar reward to the best stedicam operator competition I bet you'd enter. Don't give that oh, I'm in it for the love of it.

of coarse ur free to try, but i have a feeling in practice, expecially over the net, this wont really pan out. :'(

I downloaded some pancakes yesterday and, while they weren't as fresh as the ones you make, they were pretty good nonetheless.
