1.6 teleconverter and mattebox?

I recently purchased a Century 1.6 converter and Formatt matte box, thinking that the two would fit. I was wrong. What other options are available for using UV or polarizing filters with this non-threaded lens (and having a sunshade for it)? B&H told me that they do not carry any matteboxes that would fit over this lens.

Samarkand, unfortunately your only solution is to go with a large mattebox like the new Century, a Petroff, or a 41153 Chrosziel.

Even though the circular hole maybe smaller than the actual lens itself you can still tighten the mattebox up flush against the lens. Because this lens is not a zoom through, it will not vignette within the useable zoom range.

I use it this way with my CAVison 4x4 mattebox without any problems.

I have a chrosziel 4x4 matte box and the 1.6 tele, I had the matte box macined out half a millimeter and it fits , a little tight though

what about the matteblox from cinetactics. you could probably slip it over the lens and secure it somehow.
