The picture was taken with a robotic camera at 1,474 megapixel. (295 times the standard 5 megapixel camera)

Anyone know what camera shot this ?

Many, many, multiple high resolution cameras is my best assumption. Then they are stitched together digitally.

To my knowledge there is not a 1,474 megapixel camera that is not horded by NASA or other high science agencies.

That link was posted here soon after the inauguration.

You can see some MAJOR splicing in the picture so it's definitely not one image and not stitched together seamlessly. But still a pretty good job if that $379 robot mount did it.

Any way to hook up a D90 to something like this? It seems to be for "consumer cameras."
