Hey guys. I have read on here a lot about web hosting and I am looking into 1&1 right now. Anyone here use them? The cost for the beginner is questionable thats all. Thanks.

They redesigned their control panel, but I still find it clunky. I like cPanel better. Anyway, some good offers here:

Thank you. I am trying to find a good balance with price vs. what they offer. Any good tips on what space and transfer space I will need. I will be doing my site in flash and have 2 or 3.....3min video demos on them with pictures.

Depends how many people will download those vids. You could start with 1 or 2 Gig transfer and upgrade later if you need to. But check out that forum, lot of knowledgeable people there. :thumbup:

I use 1and1 for my business email server, and I am disappointed with their email service. Their server has so far in two months slowed down to a trickle two days, when we needed to get critical emails. We're moving off their service as soon as I get around to setting up a server of our own at a new office location.
I use Powweb.com, their web service is great, and email is reasonable. They initially had some trouble with email services a couple years ago, but I've not had anything to complain about since.
