I have known a bunch of Flowtech 75 owners complaining about plastic made parts snapping. I believe those in question were fixed for the 100mm version and presumably the Aktiv version.
There's something to be said for adding weight strategically to balance the camera for and aft on the shoulder - I shot with an FX9 with the ARRI PCS plates, v-locks and a Fuji Cabrio last week and it was about 5 times the weight of my FX6 setup but balanced perfectly and was a lot easier to...
Yep it is nothing to do with having a working camera setup and 100% to have an advert with a camera that looks like a movie camera setup with zero practical applications.
I'd just it to be riggable for on the shoulder use in a way that doesn't put all the weight on your forearms. Everything else I can live with.
This photo, which is an honest to goodness advert is everything that is bad about the camera for me in a nutshell.
Because it is a colour space some may find more pleasing or appropriate for their work. Same reason most great images in a movie are probably 7-10stops in total dynamic range despite being able to technically capture more if you wanted.
As an aside I usually desaturate my image somewhat and...
Hi mate,
I don't use my grip but there's no play in mine at all. Could you take a video of it so others can say if it is normal?
Bag looks good but not much room for accessories. There's some other alternatives in the OP of this thread.
Anyone found a good case solution for them?
Either pick and pluck foam or just using the existing inserts.
Ideally would like to have 2 x 200Ds plus Fresnels and barn doors in something that will keep them safe in the back of my car.
Thinking a Peli 1650 but if there's a smaller/cheaper...
I wish I could help. All I have is the Canon FD 100-300 which is super super cheap on ebay but not the greatest quality. Will do in a pinch for the rare times I need one though.
Can you give a single example of this being the case? Yes it is hypothetically possible but I feel it's somewhat disingenuous to attribute lofty ideals of high artistic intent to people clearly making a mistake or not getting what log is or not caring or having 'log blindness' from not editing...
I don't feel it's analogous. Log is an acquisition format not a delivery format. It is never meant to be viewed let alone finalised in that log space. It's like people collecting negatives of film sequences and never producing an answer print from them. An untransformed log colour space image is...
Ah this is a can of worms....
There's a huge difference between low contrast finished material and uncorrected log footage. One is an aesthetic. The other is a mistake.
EDIT: I'll leave it there i have nothing more to contribute to that one!
