Another newly discovered potential FX6 issue to be aware of is if filming in a Victorian basement where every single 'straight' wall, doorframe and ceiling is nothing of the sort and where you can't use the level the get a frame that looks true, that floppy LCD mount where it won't stay 100%...
I've been on so many livestreams that have either screwed up or just gone down. Usually bigger budget stuff too for the likes of Activision, Ubisoft or PlayStation. Sometimes it is just downright luck if they come off without a hitch.
Edit: the swear filter on here is atrocious.
Sorry to be a downer but since I started this job a long time ago I have lost several colleagues to suicide. Many have quit the industry altogether citing stress or maltreatment and a whole heap of them have drinking problems and/or stress related health conditions - myself included. The highs...
I was specifically saying 'for me' but none of the one man band jobs I have done come close to the feeling of accomplishment about working as part of a good team on something larger, especially if it is a long form projects like 3 months on a feature doc just as DOP.
But that was what I meant...
The thing about being a one-man band is that (for me) it's nowhere near as rewarding as working on a proper production and I adore working on productions where the Director is just Directing and giving it 100%, the DOP and Sound etc are doing the same and so on and so on.
One man band jobs are...
I started off in post production so it's always been there for me.
But I would say I am not a videographer. I'm a DOP or a camera operator. Occasionally I edit. I don't really advertise that I edit.
I am probably 70/30% just filming /filming and editing but all these cameras are being used across a very wide range of disciplines that have very little in common. Hence all of us arguing about workflow.

Not wanting to re-open a can of worms but second shoot in same environment as before (esports Gaming club with RGB Lighting) yesterday.
FX6 again handled the saturated red and blue lighting with ease and the FS7s stumbled. A7s III on a gimbal looked perfect too.
Appreciate everyone has their preferred workflow, but for me, until ProRes Raw is compatible with the industry standard finishing tool it is not ready for the big time and is just another proprietary thing locking you into someone else's toolsets.
