I'm presenting a video tonight and was wondering if it's a bad idea to just record it to the HVX P2 cards and play it from the camera. It's only DV and just shy of 30 min so it should fit on my two 4 gig cards. Any drawback to doing this? Otherwise I will just present from DV Tape. Thanks.

I've noticed that the OIS has been acting up on my HVX. It seems to skip or jump when panning real slow. Interestingly, this only happens when I pan right or tilt up. At first I thought it was my head or tripod but have seen this occur on different heads and tripods as well. Anyone else...

Just a little lost on if I should use this or not. 24pa DV25 going to DVD. Using the image smoothing 4:1:1 filter makes the ugliness of DV25 go away on my computer monitor but kinda makes stuff "bleed" on my broadcast monitor. However a DVD ofthe footage with the 411 filter on looks great...

One thing that has always annoyed me is that when you crop and feather things in FCP you have to feather ALL sides. Is there another way? Lets say I want to do a split screen and feather the middle but not the top and bottom etc. Thanks, - Jarek

Yeah so my DVDSP4 quits when I go to build and burn. When it starts muxing my project it quit and I get the OS dialog saying that I've inserted a blank dvd and asks me what I wanna do. This happens regardless there is alread a dvd in the drive or if I put it in the drive when it asks in DVDSP4...

Ok I know Panny wouldn't do this. But I'm just wondering if it's even feasable to allow the HVX to record HDV to tape with a firmware update. Or is more involved in HDV??...hardware codec chips? Different tape heads? I love my HVX but I still do event work and shooting HD to tape even at HDV...

Simple question. Can I shoot DV to tape and P2 at the same time? To be more specific it would be great for those time when you need to change tapes. Whatever you miss would get recorded to P2. Seems like a no brainer but can I do this and if so how?
