Has anyone had any experience with the boom poles from Rycote? Are they noisy? Does the "quick release mechanism" work well?

I'm trying to decide what kind of carrying bag to get to house my Sound Devices 788T & CL8 with a battery pack and hopefully some Lectrosonic wireless receivers to put in soon as well. I've been looking at the large Petrol audio bag...but does anyone else have any other recommendations...
