So my GH1 is definitely hackable (serial starts with WE9J). I downloaded the firmware and Ptool and, after choosing all the options, saved it and loaded it on my SDHC card. I hit play, and the firmware updated. However, at the very end, it froze up. I ended up having to take the battery out...
