Got a message on my phone today "Account Action Required, add birthday to your Google account now ********@gmail.com.," something I only look at when I get an annoying message like this. Why does Google need to know my birthday? Sounds like a potential invasion of privacy -- or worse.

Is there a practical way to sterilize lav mics after each use? I was thinking of wiping the capsule and the cable down with 90% alcohol. Would that damage the mics in any way?

I thought I had ordered a Sanken COS-11-D and ended up getting a COS-11-DBP. Is the only difference that the DBP can operate on both battery and phantom power?

I'm still getting acclimated to this camera. One potential problem is that when monitoring the audio (from mics through a mixer into Input 2) through the headphone jack, I hear an echo or reverb. Fortunately this is only the audio through the headphones, not on the audio recorded on the media...

. . . and new to the forum. (Actually I've had the camera several months and have been lurking on this site for even longer.) It's my first venture into the world of tapeless, so a lot of information to absorb. Fortunately it came with Barry Green's book that will help make it easier to digest.
