Trying to capture DV footage (canon Optura 300) via Firewire 400 to my Firewire 800 Maxtor 600 GB drive via Universal FinalCut Pro. Clearly the two are conflicting somehow. I can get it the setup all the way to Capture Now but then the system freezes, and then typically boots the Maxtor offline...
