Some Newb Questions - a lot to do with the new roland
I have been doing a lot of reading here and trying to figure things out. I have a sony nx5 camera which records pcm and is pretty clean. I'm looking to get a recorder to increase my channels - ie. 1 boom and 2 talent with lavs...I want to have SEPARATE TRACKS IN POST in which I can manipulate...- Rand

Recorder + Mixer + Computer interface options
I have given up on my crummy phonic. Doing a lot of research I have come across both the zoom r8 and the roland vs-100. I'm basically looking for a unit that I can plug in my sennheiser lavs to in the field and record, and also use the unit for voice overs in vegas video [asio drivers]. The...- Rand

Sony Vegas playback with mixer is distorted
Running sony vegas 10 and a phonic 12 firewire mixer board. Recording, monitoring all great with headphones plugged into the board. When I play back recorded audio from the timeline while listening with the headphones plugged into the board - it is really hot...distorted.. only connection to...
