It works in Manual mode, of course. But, when I switch to Servo mode, nothing happens. Anybody experienced this? Am I looking at a major repair bill? It's no longer in warranty. But, even if the servo zoom is damaged and not usable, is it better to get in the habit of using manual zoom anyway...

Any recommendations? Due to budgetary constraints, I can't spend more than $1,000. The Manfrotto 503 fluid head tripod seems to be mentioned alot. Any comments on this one? Others? Thanks, in advance.
