    C100: Need advice on camera set up for run and gun big shoot

    It's a bit subjective on what you consider "base". Some people consider base iso when there is 0dB. In that case, yes base ISO is 640. Other people consider base ISO on the C Series where the dynamic range evens out. Judging from this chart, Canon is going with the latter description...
