I just bough a hpx 170 about a month ago and it seems to be working great. It only has 130 hrs on it. I started messing around with the nd filters and when i move it to 1/4 it gets darker. Then when i move it to 1/16 it is normal again. Once I move it to 1/64 it gets dark(same darkness as 1/16)...
