Sure, but the larger point is slower framerates = fiction; faster frame rates = reality.

Though I would not call it a "trick." I'd say it's the proper way to understand frame rates aesthetically.

Vegas Pro has had nested timelines for years. For years before that, you could nest projects.

It had the video capability with Vegas 1, but it was disabled until Vegas 2.
