A few friends of mine have started talking about wanting to make some surf edits for fun. Primes could be an option but i would prefer a zoom, something around 200mm on the long end. I'm not opposed to legacy lenses. How are the kit zooms for video? Price cap ~250

Quick question. I've read somewhere that panasonic updated firmware on g2's. So if i buy a brand new one(which are super cheap btw) will i be able to hack it?
