Well this really took off. One more pitch for Reno. I have a Loaded G5 Quad and a 26" HD monitor as well as a couple of 17" HD monitors and a 47" HD projection TV as well as a Fig Rig, and this PC computer which has the Premiere pro 1.5 suite on it as well as a Matrox card, not that it is any good for the HVX, but it would be useful for teaching how to use Premiere program, and I can get a class room at TMCC to use for the class and I would pay for that. (The classroom not the whole thing. And what a run on sentence that was!) Or we could have a small class right here at my house, and I'd even make my famous chili. I suspect this will fall on deaf ears, but hey Reno is a nice town, even if I'm the only one who has a couple of HVX200's here.
I can make a Vegas/LA/SF trip but I'm in need right now of the basic instructions for hooking up the HVX to a G4/RAID HD so I can film some of the people who are soon going to be auditioning for "Holy War" and look like I have at least a basic grasp on my gear. So Barry, Jarred anyone, can you give me some basic instructions on getting the two running together? That will get me by until I can get in a class. You need to start with first you turn on the camera and computer and then you… (Unless of course there is something I need to do before I turn on the camera and computer.
