Input into DVX from External Source into FCP

This is killing me becasue I feel like it should be easy and I know I've done it before.

How do you input into the DVX from say a VCR and see it on screen, and then into your editing Software?

I have the RCAs plugged out of VCR and into DVX and nothing shows up on screen.
I feel like there are some settings on the DVX not allowing the video in and I've messed with everything in the menus trying to get this to work. This should be easy and it's killing me!! Help!!

I think you just have to put your DVX in VCR mode and access the menu. My DVX100b has it as 3.AV IN/OUT SETUP.
You should be able to capture from your RCA's and if I am wrong then surely the answer is somewhere in the menu options.

I have tied this and nearly eveything I can think of. This should be easy and I'm kicking myself. Argghh!

Anyone else have any suggestions-Thanks!
