Hi guys and gals,

Server is down, Please make request to me personally and I'll try to accomodate.

1) Let's start it off with the "filmout" footage that get's requested so often. Click here for wmv (403MB)

2) OK, the next one has absolutely no meaning other than it's very realistic when you watch it on HDTV.
Lakeshore Drive Chicago IL (175MB) Info about the camera setup is this. I used the "true color" scene file WB 6500. ND2 with Aperature set to around F2.8 and shutter 1/500. I'd have loved to have my stickypod for this type of work but it was impromptu as I was traveling to the north side. Anyway with that fast a shutter speed, each frame should be photo perfect. The Complete Chicago Lakeshore Drive m2t is now uploaded for you.

3) This clips is a heavily adjusted using the color matrix in camera. It's designed to desaturate the Yellow, Red and Magenta from the frame. The result is the eye's of the child pop off the screen and everything else is desaturated. It's an interesting look and I've got ideas on how to use it. Anyway, here it is YMR scene file clip (click here)

4) More cutting room floor stuff here people! This is a VO lipsync that didn't make it in. Click here for m2t (63MB) I've also encoded some web files for you. Windows Media HD (20MB) and for the Mac people in the house, the best I can muster is Sorenson 3 Click here for MOV (20MB)

5) What could be better than killing 15 minutes at a dam with a waterfall? Getting some footage for you, of course. Once again, this has no meaning other than it's a couple of shots near some water. Click here for "runoff" (121MB). This was a "dump to tape" from a timeline. Have fun amigos and Keep Shooting..

6) An oldie but goodie. By request here is the "Cooking Pidgeons" 480p60 file. This is an SD. Click here for m2t (125MB)

7)How about trying some greenscreen work with HDV. Give it a try with this shot. This is weatherman Chuck Heaver of WYIN (PBS). Click here for m2t (85MB) Thanks to PBS!

8) This one is all about LATTITUDE. With this clip you can see what the camera is capable of handling and where I think the HD-100 really shines. Not too many video camera's can pull off this kind of lattitude where the background is completely blown out and yet the skin tone remains in tact. Click here for lattitude m2t (64MB)

enjoy.....

I own the SRDVD-100U.

You can take your HD100 raw m2t files and burn them on a DVD-R and play them on this player. It plays regular DVDs too.

It support the following files:
MPEG-1/MPEG-2/MPEG2-TS/PS/DivX® VIDEO/XviD/WMV9
Supported Photo: JPEG/BMP/GIF/PNG

You can update its firmware via cat5 cable to your network.
I did this and it worked fine.

Although I like this player, it does seem to have a lot of bugs. If you wander over to the IO-DATA forum you can read about them.

I stopped using it as my regular DVD player because it does some weird pausing at times, and not just during dual layer change. It's like the read buffer can't keep up with the DVD data stream. On a good note, it does play the HD100 m2t files without any issues.

Ohhh I have a big head this morning gotta love Mardi Gras...

stephenlnoe,
glad its working for ya. Hopefully you can put up some nice stuff around the net from the Camera that dont have many clips around.

Man that Film out is soooo nice

BTW Im looking for a user around here with good Canon HD footage that lacks a place to put files also..

Im thinking Elton?

That player is what was hooked up at Columbia playing m2t through the D-ILA cinema projector. Does it also support Windows media encoder's advaced codec (in other words WMV-HD)?

Do you need windows media center to network that puPpy?

I assumed that M2t wouldn't play due to the higher bandwidth. Does the M2t files look better? Hmmm that would save conversion to WMV rendering.

How muc time can you fit on a DVD9 using M2T files?

Thanks for thinking of me, Salatar. I have an iDisk but I don't leave my clips up there indefinitely. If people would like some clips put there for comparison, I'm happy to oblige.

btw, I dig the JVC folks here. Cool community for a sweet camera.

Anyone tried intercutting H1 m2t's with HD100 in either 720 or 1080? What were your impressions, etc.

Elton

One other question: Anyone ever captured the 720 60p analog out and tried a 720/24 overcrank effect? I bet it looks amazing.

Thanks, stephenlnoe. This piece is a triumph. First time to see this material since the Chicago event. It's every bit as gorgeous as I recalled.

Magnificent.

that's some pretty sweet footage, definetly turned my head, now it's a matter of figuring out how to come up with the coin to buy one

Isnt it hard to drive and hold the camera out the window :D
Yes, it is very difficult (and dangerous) on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago to do anything but drive. I'll have more footage later this week.

Thanks SalaTar.

wow...

The footage from this camera looks stellar. This is my first time seeing any. I love it!
