Can anybody vouch for Roscor?

After seeing them mentioned on here I am thinking of switching my HVX order to Roscor (Camera is 5,370+-). I called to put my name on the list, but they have strange verification policies-- they want bank account info.

They seem like a legit place, but maybe are not really set up to deal with individual clients well. Can anyone give me a little piece of mind before I decide to part with my information.

Also... if they are legit... if anyone is interested they have a couple unclaimed cameras coming in next week.

Roscor is the parent company of Discount Video Warehouse. Back in my early days of 3/4 Umatic I purchased a lot of equipment from them They were a good company to buy from. Somewhere along the line I started buying from other's.
They have been here since the beginning.
would not hesitate to purchase from them. In fact for my next P2 order I will call them.

I bought my HVX from Roscor and was VERY happy with them. I consider them top notch and wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them again.

It is great to have a little piece of mind... the good prices and weird requirements at this place certainly raised my eyebrow. Could be wrong but I think he said they are selling the 4 gig cards for $640... don't quote me on that though. I placed my order with Lee at EXT. 1372. Very nice fellow.

I bought my HVX from Roscor/DVW and Lee Drady. I was really upset with their verification policy: bank account number AND credit card info. Their credit department supposedly wants to call your bank and verify you really have a bank account there! I asked my bank how they would handle that query and they said no way would they give that info out to anyone. But the key is to realize the deal goes thru if you give the bank account info, even though they can't call up and confirm it!!??

Lee was very nice, very patient and came thru. He's hamstrung by these policies, referring to his credit department as the "sales prevention department".
 
I bought from Roscor Michigan and had it shipped to my workplace. I had a cashier's check waiting for the Fedex guy when it arrived. I am very happy with my SHORT waiting time. I received the camera yesterday and can not put it down.
Oh my god I shot a candle in the dark and I can see some noise. What should I do????

I dealt with Larry Walker. He was helpful.

There's no friggin' way I'm giving my bank account info. out to anyone if I don't absolutely have to. My bank has told me never to do it.

You guys who have given them that info. better hope they have a good shredder and one in constant use.

They just want your bank's name and account # as a way to weed out people using fradulant credit cards. I got my HVX from Roscor and was extremely happy with the entire experience.

I too ordered my camera through Roscor and Lee Drady hooked me up...incredible deal. Lee is great to work with...I was also hesitant to give out my info, but everything seems to be going smoothly. I'm expecting my camera next week!! :)
 
If you've ever wrote anybody a check, they have all the bank account info that Roscor is asking for. Didn't seem like an issue to me, and I just order mine earlier today. Should see it by the end of the week... Finally.. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Definitely true, but I think the problem is that a check goes on to a bank clearing house where it's far more secure on average than a separate record in some company office. Again, if it's a written record, I certainly hope they own a good cross-cut shredder and use the thing.:)
 
My camera ships today, just talked with Lee and they have a few unclaimed cameras available if anyone is still looking. Still can't get over how good the price is... thank god I got wait-listed at the other place I was going to buy it.
 
I had a week between ordering and shipping, and I finally got it yesterday (after FedEx dragged their feet for a day). Happy camper. Can't wait to play.
 
I bought my HVX200 from Lee Drady and was very happy. Lee was very professional and kept me up to date on the whole process with e-mails, and the camera arrived when he said it would. He even asked me to send him an e-mail letting him know that the camera arrived safely.

My only concern with Roscor is their "no returns" policy. Of course this wasn't a concern with the HVX200, but it may affect my decision on where to order other products in the future. This policy doesn't apply to defective items.
