My name is Joe and I am new to this forum. I just wanted to introduce myself and I look forward to meeting all of you and talking shop.

A little bit about me:

I live in Austin, Texas and I have been writing Screenplays and Teleplays for about 4 Years. I have been interested in film since I was about 12-13 Years old and have worked in Movie Theaters and Retail Movie Stores until about 2 years ago when I decided it was time for a "Real" job. I am interested in finally starting some of my Scripts into production due to not wanting to chance selling them to Production Houses and then have my work ruined by someone who doesn't understand the concept. I am by no means a professional and at this time I am not in a position to call Filmmaking or Writing a career yet (Hopefully one day soon). I do however look forward into learning from everyone hear so I can grow into a decent filmmaker and hopefully have one of my projects entered into my local film fest -> SXSW BABY!! Well that's it from me and thank's in advance for all the wonderfull information :)

Welcome! Justin Kirch and Luis Caffesse live in 'your neck of the woods'.

Welcome to the board!

My parents live in 'your neck of the woods'. They are out in Wimberley. Have y'all ever been out to them parts? (That felt good to say. I've been supressing my Texan accent for far too long.)

Feel free to stop in and have dinner with PK's folks. :)

Don't laugh!!! My father must wear that mask. He has a deviated septum and its hard for him to breath.

Why does "deviated septum" always sound naughty? :)

Welcome. Speaking of good food, I remember having BBQ at the Salt Lick outside of town back in the 70s.

The Salt Lick seriously has the Best BBQ in the country. That just isn't a Texas thing. They actually ship across the country. They just opened one in the city a few years back so you don't have to drive down into deep South Austin.

I'm a city boy too. Born in Houston. Lived in Austin (worked at KVC-tv13 - is it still around?) and then moved north to Seattle. But my folks have a nice place in the country. I aim to visit there when I gots the time. :)

Puzzled, do you have a camera yet?
