About 2.5 mins, 6.75MB, Windows Media.
22mins of capture, edit and encode was all done in under an hour tonight. Needless to say, there's a couple of 'oopsies' in it. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

That video actually made me feel cold all the way here in Florida! Plus I get seasick, so...excuse me while I go put a sweater on and puke.

:zombie_smiley:

wow! that is really cool man. enjoy that winter. Sometimes it gets hard to do so, at least for me here in Vermont. Waiting for AAA in on the side of the road for example...

Awesome stuff man. Hey what camera is that your holding? Not a DVX....???

Sorry thartley. Yeah, that really was VERY cold out there today. And the heavy wind combined with the sound of the ice breaking and the ship shuddering made it as loud as it sounds (and hard to hold a steady shot) - that's unaltered auto levels from the camera.

Camera is a Hitachi V-21W (2/3" broadcast) with Sony DSR-1 DVCAM recorder back. All handheld footage.

No worries...I thought they were going to call the paramedics when I saw Titanic on the big screen. A Perfect Storm was worse on the puke factor for me.

and super nice footage here for being all handheld. I could see how you were rocking and not so steady on your feet when you spoke to the camera. :) Excellent!

9am - woke up, checked email, went back to sleep.

12pm - woke up, watched Magnum PI, went back to sleep.

2pm - woke up, picked up son from school, checked email, went back to sleep.

7:28pm - about to cook some buffalo steaks.

9pm - my name is earl

9:30 - the office

10pm - time to get back to editing

had a shoot for a show I work on for the New Orleans Saints called "Outside the Huddle" had a couple players out at a school giving away books for NEA's Read Across America Day. Also shot some more hurricane damage in Chalmette (which is one of the hardest hit areas)

here's a press release about the event:

Just watched your clip. Your sense of humor was on display.
Boy, did that make me happy to be in Southern California.

I got my fill of Photoshop today.

I had to do graphics design for an ad I'm buying... so I spent half my time doing this: FIRST DRAFT

Only to have to start over and do this: FINAL DRAFT

I'm not a fan of the fake perspective on the main DVD case in the final draft, but I'm getting a good deal on the ad so I'm willing to conform!
