Getting a bit of a runaround from Willoughbys

I purchased my camera about 2 weeks ago. So far they gave me 4 different days that it would ship. Still haven't recieved it. I was told it would ship in a few more days. Was told that it was coming from the manufactuer themselves.
Anyone ever have this happen to them?
 
Ordered my DVX100B from them about a month ago. Got to me in 3 days. Sorry to hear you're having problems.
 
It may well be that they are out of inventory and they will ship as soon as they get it. We just changed the way that we fulfil orders. It used to be that everything came through Kent, Washington, and then shipped to the dealer. That is no longer happening. We are shipping directly from Osaka to the dealer.

You will find inside the box instructions on how to claim your DVX-Book and the Magic Bullet. There is a very specific website to visit. You will still get the rebate but this one only services the direct ship product.

I have purchased from Willoughbys before, was as smooth as silk. I know its a pain, but I think you will find its most likely that Willoughbys are having some trouble confirming when its shipped. Dont worry it will come though.
 
Hmmm...I ordered mine on 2/9/06, it was shipped on 2/17 and I got it today on 2/20. I did have to call and ask when they werr shipping it though.
 
Hey Splinky, I have been after them for the basic dvx100b kit and they said that they will not get the shipment until this coming monday the 27 of Feb. I am not sure which kit you are getting but if it is the basic kit, it will not be there until Monday the 27th.

I just ordered the DVX100B camera. No extra's. Just the camera. I was going to call tomorrow and see how all is going. I guess I know my answer.
 
Hey Splinky I called Willoughbys and they now say that they will not get the basic camera until 2 weeks from now so I dont know what is going on!
 
I finally got the camera today. All is good. Took 3 weeks to get it. Not sure if I would ever purchase anything from Willoughby's again. The price was right. I just didn't like the fact that nobody was being straight with me. I know the item was probably not in stock. They could have easily let me know. And I would have been okay with that. Instead they told me it was shipping tomorrow. Then shipping in two days. Then 3, and so on and so on. But anyways I got the camera.
 
Hey Splinky is that the basic kit you got for $3399.99? Because that is the one I've been wanting for the last month and a half and still saying that they are out of stock.
 
No I havent, but I think that if someone calls them on the phone they try to sell you the next kit "Starter Kit" and that goes for $3708.00 that I cant afford at this time, so I think you did the right thing and ordered it online. I am going to order mine online tonight though, thanks for the info and post your samples once you get that baby working man!!
 
I didn't order mine online. I ordered over the phone. I don't believe ordering online will help you get a camera quicker. They all come from the same place.
Be careful with those guys.
 
I did buy mine from Willoughby's. But I called them on the phone to place my order. The guys are the people who work at Willoughbys. No one was really straight with me during the 3 weeks a waited.
 
I'm glad you got it. I live in NY plus I work literally 2 blox from Willoughbys. I went to get just the camera. They were out of stock. I ended up getting the kit, which itself was put on back order. they are selling out like hotcakes.... and they simply cant keep up. Insane demand over what seems to be limited supply. The service was good though. i was lucky to walk in, buy the kit and have it delivered to me that evening. With all the issues with the demand for the camera... i cant imagine ordering it. Anyway... happy shooting.
