Hey guys... Here is a revised trailer to one I posted a while back. The movie screened at The Crest Theatre in Sacramento to an unofficial total of 550 - 600 people according to theatre staff. Many great, encouraging, and constructive reviews are coming through... Definitley a worthy effort for no one having a clue as to what they were doing (including myself) when we started.

Actors: Two trained actors in the whole production. The rest, family and friends. Crew: Just family and friends with no experience.

I wrote, directed, edited, did some of the music, and acted in the movie (not by choice though, too many people were dropping out); Just learned everything as I went along from books and the dvxuser site(had to list you all in the credits of course) anyway, hope you enjoy.

lots of good clips in the middle when they are on the airstrip got me interested, how'd it end up showing on the big screen?

Ben... Me personally... I'm broke. But we've got some people who believe in this project enough to put some money into it... They rented the theatre and are trying to take some steps just to get us some exposure... So far so good.

I went and saw the premier, and let me tell you it was beautiful on the big screen. Plus, Smithhouse and crew did a phenomenal job on this project.

Wow! Very nice!!

Also, does anyone know the music they used in that trailer? It's the epic piece near the end. I think I've heard it before on some other trailers...

Hey Mr. Larry... Long time no talk to. Been busy getting the "official" movie dialed in and ready to be replicated. should be placing our order on Monday or Tuesday... Thanks for the write up in the previous thread. The version that I was not able to show at the crest actually has some, not all unfortunately, of your concerns corrected. :) ... We definitely have to make plans on getting together when things settle down a bit.

Arcway... The music in the trailer I got from a website called musicbeyond.com. They have an insane amount of songs you can listen to and download for use in your projects... When you find something you like and are going to use, you basically pay for the right to use it. We got a blanket release which allows you to use up to a certain amount of time using any number of their songs. 0-10min, 10-20min, 20-30 and so on... There are several companies like this, but this one was turned onto me by Avatuar who I think uses that last song in his trailer as well.

happy shooting guys.

Trevor, Have you not been getting my private messages? I was wondering why I hadn't gotten a response back from any of them. I did figure you were busy with the DVD release, but am anxious to get together soon :)

I'm looking forward to seeing the DVD release...any word on its release date yet?

Hey Larry... No, I haven't gotten anything. I've gotten a couple of PM's from Ruben, the other Dvxer that was there, and we've talked (PM'd) a couple times back and forth... Sorry about that, bro. I've been busy, but not that busy :)

drop me a line to my email account and we can work something out.

DVD's will be ready to ship in early March.

Trevor - Ok, I sent you an e-mail. Please let me know if you received it (since we had trouble with it before).

And for those of you that didn't get a chance to come see this film, be sure to buy a copy of the DVD!! :)

I enjoyed the trailer and look forward to the dvd. Were those ext shots hand held or did you use a stabilizer of some kind?

Some nice shots. Not too big of fan of being out in harsh daylight.
Interesting project. Thanks for the webiste link to music.

Most of the ext. shots were done hand held. I had a steadi tracker, but we lost that before getting too far into the shoot. Lost a lot of equipment now that I think about it, we had a small novice crew trying to do everything so we were a bit careless... lesson learned though.

Hey charli... I laugh about this now, but I always wondered why they light actors in movies when it's perfectly sunny and bright outside... I had no idea that they would stop down so the bg wouldn't be blown out, and light so the actors could be seen... Funny stuff, but I'm definitely learning. :)
