Axio LE may not suppor all HVX 200 files...

Just called a dealer inquiring about the Axio LE card and explained my computer system and that I want to use it on footage shot on an HVX200.

Unlike the Axio SD and HD, they will sell the card without a computer attached and that makes me happy.

He told me that the LE version of the card doesn't support the HVX 24P mode as of yet but will support 1080i and that makes me sad.

I have to go to work, but if anyone can pester your local dealer for more info, I'd appreciate it!

Looking at the specs, the Axio LE seems to do everything that an HVX owner would need!

I'm confused.

Matrox was always big on talk and was always an underachiever.
I have used a Matrox LX system for 4 years and I had a Full DS for 3 years before that. I bought the LX system to get into DVD. It has always underperformed no matter what software I used. Being locked into Adobe PPro is also going to be a struggle with the AXIO.
I would wait until NAB before buying anything right now.
I am the now switching to FCP, the box is in my office and I will open it later today.
