My music video!

Nice. I like the 'black and white film' girl that appears on the stage with the band. Nice effect. I also like the close ups of the swinging lights with the band members in the background. Good job!

That looked really, really good!!!!! How did you do that black and white girl on the stage with the band in colour? Steps please! (I'm impressed because I'm assuming there was no motion control and it looked that good)

Awesome dude! Keep it up.

Cool! one of the best Rock music video I've seen posted here. Good job. So what was your role in this production?

Man that looks really awesome. Stunning. The only thing I can say is that I was waiting for more shots of the dreads. I wanna see more of those!

Great job man, very impressed. Few questions. How did you put black and white girl with the color band members? Was it all one shot and you just masked her and applied the filter to her? Also where did you get that film damage filter. I have a few filters but none of them look like that. (I like yours better!) What NLE do you use? I loved the music too, again great job.

There is now officially a clamour for more information. Break it down for us pease. You did an awesome job. The look was superb.

I was going to do the light bulbs in my next video... Damn! Just kidding.... looked good though

I really like your old film footage effect that you have. The hanging lightbulbs were a good idea and I also liked the fact that you had two more lights in the back that you made brighter in sync with the music. Have you ever seen any of Lasse Hoile's work?

Awesome look

Awesome look

Man I hope you got paid well for that vid. It looks awesome. It also looks like a butt load of time went into it. Good lighting, i liked the key and the hard shadows on the singers face.

Absolutely an awesome music video! The editing style was very good. The negative thing about this was the lighting IMHO, you could have lighted the people in a more interesting way like more low key.

Overall VERY good work, keep it up :D

Thanks guys. Sorry i forgot about this post, im still new to this.
So a breakdown ey? Well i dont like revealing everything...heh. But basically we had 3 Mole-Richardson tungston spots, a michaels dolly, 2dvx100a's, about 20 standard lightbulbs (home depot: i love you).

As far as visual effects go, i passed it on to my friend/co-worker at DesignAttic Inc. We had already shot the girl, so he just roto'd over her frame by frame, which still was easier due to the fact that she stood pretty much still (even with camera movement). I'm also assuming he used generic stock film footage (because the grain is way to random/fine for it to be computer generated, which also look really campy).

The second to last shot of the girl turning away...was shot on 30fps for slomo.

The video budget was not high whatsoever...

My role in the video: Director, Editor, Producer, photograher...
I did have 5-6 people on set, and second cameraman/DA.
Performance: 8hrs
Storyline: 3hrs

Glad you guys like it! Go to:
Medialab.ifc.com and vote for it!!! (its under the OTHER section).

Cheezweezl: what are those lights in the background called in your video? Where could i get access to renting something like that?
