Working Around the Sony Shoe Adaptor

Hey guys,

What do you use to get around Sony's "hot shoe" adaptor for your none-Sony-mount products? I will probably be trying to use it for a flippable LCD monitor for a lense adaptor or for a shotgun mic when the monitor's not in use.

Sony's shoe adapter isnt like canons, its cold and does not give off power to things plugged in. You would need to get something with batteries in it. Make sure your shotgun mic would be phantom power.
