New way to experience movies?

I was watching Saving Private Ryan last night....and I think its a really powerful movie...visually and sound.

With the technology we have today..like surround sound....and soon being pushed in more..HD...has anyone ever thought that they just might be still missing certain elements in watching a movie? Maybe being able to smell what goes on in a scene or something?

Might sound crazy or some cases really sickening depending on the movie and scene...but do u think in like maybe in a 100 years from now..moviemaking can emerge with the ability to get so into the experience of the movie that u can smell different things in a scene? and control the amount depending on the person?

Like i know alot of you..including me..wuld probably get sick if we watched a film like Saving Private Ryan..and having that element of smell come to play..with the dead bodies...rain...burnt gunpowder...etc.

But do you think that it culd boast the experience of goin to a theater? Or..if we get really advanced in the future...get the same experience at home on your home theater system?

I just kinda wondered this...all kinds of opinons are all accepted...bad or good...

I could totally imagine someone getting really stoned and asking that question.

Not saying you are, or that it's a bad question, but I could totally see a Spicoli like guy asking that.
