SG35 Short Film

This looks great! I can only say this is making me looking even more forward to the 35mm shootout envision and his crew are doing, than I already was. Great footage!

alright already, footage please!

im not exactly sure i understand why the lens is getting in the way of the footage. Does thath appen with all adapters? How does one correct it properly?

I really want to pick one up but just would like to wait till the best flip adapter is out. Having the image properly framed is just so much more convienient.

Papa,
There is a lens in front of the ground glass that helps to avoid vignetting. If any dust gets on this lens, it is picked up on the image.

wow wayne how many elements are in this? From what i can figure in my head, The is the Achromat, GG, and this additional lens in the front?

Also, i may have asked this before, can we switch out the Diopeter for a Century optics one, to possibly gain some resolution/less color abbrasion? or does it not really matter?

Hello,

Yes thats correct, you have the spinning ground glass, followed by a condenser lens and then the achromat.

If any colour abberation appears in the image, which only really happens in some situations, it would come from the condenser lens, not the achromat, so swapping to the century optics macro probably would not help.

so vivitar lenses would be fine to use with your sg35

the issue with all the vignetting, woudnt that be cut off by the TV SAFE line?

ahh i understand.

Based uponthe grabs we saw above im not too worried about CHroma abbrasion.

i mean look at the contrast, backlit subject, nice clean edges!

Here is a rough edit of the second scene. No CC and no audio work done yet. The music has been written for the film and the track you hear in this scene is an early attempt by the composer. (Composer = Todd Howe www.theboxerrebellion.com) We were also using a Rowe Cine Dolly

Cut will definetly change and the quality has been shredded by my flash encoder!
