Chrosziel Matte Box for HVX200?

Glad you like the widget. As far as matte boxs go I tested both the chrosziel and vocas and decided to go with the latter as its flawless and it costs less than the chrosziel equivalent.

The real difference between Vocas and Petroff's (and Cavision's) matteboxes and Chrosziel's is that Chrosziel's are far more durable than its competitors'.

Has anyone here used the new Petroff Modular matteboxes? I talked to Petroff and they said I might want to go with the wide angle matte box P44-1-W, a bit more money though,do I really need it if I get a wide angle adapter or use the mini 35 adapter?
Also, how do you think Petroff compares to Vocas, I heard of light leaking problems on the Pertroff.

WRONG..........The Vocas is just as good if not better than the chrosziel. In fact I've dropped a sony 570 camcorder from 10ft with a vocas on the lens and what got damaged on the vocas, NOTHING. The lens needed rebuilding and the camcorder needed some replacement parts.

I agree ... I ended up choosing the Vocas wide mattebox for my XL-H1 and love it. I'm sure it would be a good choice for the HVX as well ...
