And speaking of bad days...

Ever have one of those days that makes you afraid to eat your own cooking for fear of food poisoning?

Clothes dryer on the fritz, then clothes dryer fixed, at the expense of yanking the outer exhuast tube out of place.

New roommate walks in bedroom, without the heretofore agreed upon command of "come in".

Had something kinda icky happen in a public restroom which involved an unforseen wet toilet seat, many four letter expletives, and which required immediate shower. (dont ask)

Went to grocery store to find out that upon coming back outside, my car wouldnt start. Then it did. Then it quit. Now its fine, or so it wants to make me believe.

So...I bought deli chicken for lunch and simply could NOT shake the thought of bird flu as I ate it. *blecht* Is it bad that my cat wont eat it?

i've had a pretty bad day too... car wouldn't start today trying to get to the wholesale store near us. the store didnt have half of the crap that i needed there. then the rest of my day i was tired but couldnt sleep... i feel like crap right now lol

Just woke up, at 6:40am, on a Monday, 2 hours before my alarm.
And boy did I have messed up dreams last night!
To the tune of I was insane and being held "prisoner"(?) for my own good in a dream like world. Nothing was real, regardless how many times I tried to realize it and break free.
Of course when I did finally wake up (or did I?) I picked up my phone to check for messages, and as I was holding it I got a text message! Yeah, waking up just before getting a message really helped with returning to reality.

I wanted to post the C&H where Calvin wakes up and falls as he steps out of the door only to wake up ... so he gets up and then fall as he steps out of the door, only to wake up... But I couldn't find it.

Well, to update on yesterday, I preheated the oven to make some tollhouse cookies and caught the oven on fire. Apparently there was a wayward olive from a pizza the day before and it literally crashed and burned.

Nothing like hearing that little 'click' telling you the oven has finished preheating only to look up and see flames shooting up thru the little window!

It was way better. I spent the day at work where nothing bad actually happened, my supervisor will be out all week, and I had tollhouse cookies at my desk to taunt my co-workers with. :D

In spite of the olive fire, the cookies came out wonderful, even had chopped walnuts in them. :)

I sat on a toilet with one of those motion sensors--leaned forward to get a better . . . angle . . . then it flushed--HARD. It flushed on me (up at me?) three times.

Well, at least I don't need a shower today.

Memo to self, don't eat at thartleys house.

This is probably very good advice. My cooking is less than, erm, stellar.

Funny thing with the fire, though. The oven is built into the wall and is electric. The range is gas and in an island in the middle of the kitchen. (where else would it be but the kitchen, so that was a stupid and unnecessary mention there) I am not too familiar with cooking with gas (usually, its "cooking that causes gas", but anyway) when I saw the flames, I immediately had a Backdraft flashback and wondered if when I opened the door to try to snuff out the olive, the sudden blast of fresh air would cause a burst-ish thingy with the fire, igniting an undetected leak in the gas range, and well, kill me.

It was that kind of day. But I am here to tell the tale. So its all good. And so were the cookies.

Even leftover ones.

haha, this reminded me of when i went to disney and was in the bathroom standing at a stall. It was pretty full and this drunk redneck came in and starts to piss and says "hey, whats this little red light blinking for". I looked over and said "thats the little dick meter and it blinks when it senses something really small."

I had the whole place on the floor laughing.

I told that story to my girl and she says " you talk to people in the bathroom?"
I said hell yeah, epecially if someone is making alot of noise behind a stall door, I cant help but make a funny comment.
I even do it at work, I bet they all hate me now. Especially when i start to spray the air freshener under the door at them.

Women do NOT socialize while doing what we do in the bathroom, only when we leave the dinner table in groups to put lipstick on and ***** about our dates. haha!!

But seriously, no... I dont want people talking to me when I go into the stall. In fact, one girl I work with walked into the bathroom while I was in there and just said "Terri?" and it stopped me mid-, uh, stream. This is the perfect place to say I was pissed, but as circumstance would have it, I was not. I needed to be, but I was too busy trying to figure out how ANYBODY can be identified by the sound of THAT. Then I couldnt go at all.

We have those automatic flusher sensor things too, so if you dont move fast enough your regular toilet turns into a bidet real quick.
