Broken Sachtler? I'll buy it off you. Impossible to find replacement part.

I'm looking for a replacement part asap.

I have a FSB6 with the 75mm Speedlock sticks that has traveled the world with me for 14 years. I love this tripod - it's fast and light. Sadly, one of the red handle locks on the legs totally snapped off in a luggage incident. And wow, it's really hard to track down this part in a timely manner. The Broadcast Shop says it's backordered and wouldn't get to me until late February. And they charge $20 shipping for a tiny plastic replacement part.

Does anyone have one of these old 75mm Speedlock sticks laying around - busted and not worth much to you anymore? At the price I'd be paying other vendors I figured I might as well reach out to the community to see if anyone has a better idea or an old busted pair of sticks they don't care about anymore.

Any advice or leads are welcome. Thanks!

Uhg. Maybe try Keith at TriVision in the SF Bay Area. He's pretty much the main tripod-repair guy out here. He may have parts, new or used. He sees a lot of damaged tripods....

Or Videndum or AbelCine? Good luck!

I have a Speedlock 75 with a leg that keeps, slipping. Vitec wanted $700 to replace the leg. Bought a Flowtech 75. The red locking levers are in good condition. Be happy to to sell the Speedlock 75 to you. Where are you located?

Parts and service are rough, right now. I had to send my original pair of Flowtech 100's in to Vitec for service back in August or September and I didn't get them back until November. The hold-up, of course, was parts.

You could repair it for much less if you bought the part and installed it yourself. All you need is a newly designed rod. I think it was $80 x 3. The problem with the initial design is they glued the rod and over time the torque caused it to not fully tighten..
