Is anyone still out there that shoot projects in SD, whether personal or paid gigs, I was curious to know if there i still a market for specific projects where people want something shot in standard definition, Maybe someone wants to shoot their own project on it, or if a consumer wanted something specific thats in SD.

I haven't shot SD in years. These days, people will ask me to shoot in 1080 instead of 4K if they want to minimize file sizes. But never SD

Are you referring to 4:3 SD or 16:9 SD?

Disregarding resolution and aspect ratio, even 14-year-old DSLRs have more color information and dynamic range than 4:1:1 CCD SD cameras, not to mention it's nice to be rid of interlaced footage and a tape workflow.

I've delivered projects on SD DVDs, but acquisition is 1080P or UHD.

I think you once shared with us a breakdown of something you did for Key & Peele, or at least some post-process that had you running and degrading the image through multiple hardware?

I don't remember exactly what it was, but maybe something sounds familiar.

Maybe for the dance competition episode? (One of my faves.)

Well there are alot of projects I see where people use an effect that looks like it could be shot with an older model camera, or it could be some sort of filter. Sometimes I'll see where its a reference from the past so rather people would just degrade the image, I wondered if some people actually just use an older camera, Sometimes you can tell even when they use a filter to make it look older it still has HD sharpness in the video on some that i've seen.
