Remote follow focus for £150/$300

I got the HoFo web developer and stuck him in the steadicam rig to test the HF. His first time in the rig, did pretty well. No crying at least.

Hey Peter,
Looking GOOD !.. but a question :

Are you going to make a hot/cold shoe mount for the receiver unit ? .. i mean, a lot of the future users will use it on a simular package as shown in the pictures so it would be great to mount the receiver on top of the camera !

Just a thought !

Best, Erik

sorry, just have read your pdf file again.. it´s a extra. ok !

Actually if you are going to build a mount I would reccomend a lower (Rail) bracket mount as opposed to hot shoe mount as higher mounting will make it harder to operate and less dynamicly stable.

Also you might want to make a double mount as people might want to stack up 2 units to use as a focus and iris system.

Just an idea.

Hi,

The RX unit has a standard 1/4-20 tap, so you can use it with noga arms and zacuto parts all ready. We are producing a coldshoe mount to mount he RX ontop of the camera. We are working on a universal rod mount, so you can clamp it onto the rods at whichever position you need.

No operation is required, you just plug it in and turn it on....

The final motor connection cables. Standard cable is 60cm long and is included. Locking lemo connectors of course ;-)
