The heavy duty tripod is an import from china . . . I have actually used it more than the Libec because it is really smooth . . . I would attribute this to it's weight. It is also really stable with the whole rig on top of it (as seen in the photos). The leveling bubble broke and I have used the 2 way level in the hotshoe which has worked fine. It has been a great tool.
