WANTED: Holder for external microphone for Panasonic AG-HVX200

Hello everyone!

I need to find the external microphone holder for the Panasonic AG-HVX200.

Panasonic item numbers:
Mic holder adaptor: VYC0890
Mic holder unit: VYC0936

Picture of the microphone holder: www.overlux.com/temp/panasonic_ag-hvx200_external_mic_holder.jpg

It's most probably the same item they use on the DVX100.

Used unit(s) are fine, if they're resonably cheap!

If you're selling one and could send it to me to Swizterland, then please send me an e-mail with an offer.

Thanks a lot!

Pany sells it, you just have to call the 800 number.. Abel Cine NY also has a parts department, you could call them as well.. I had to buy one and I think I paid about $50..

If you are still looking for the external microphone holder, I'll sell you mine for really cheap. I don't even use mine anymore since I got my Rode microphone holder.

Hello Dale!

Yes, I'm still looking! How much would you be asking for the complete holder with the screws, including standard shipping to Switzerland?

By the way: I used to live in Toronto for four years! :-) What part are you in? I used to live on Maitland, right downtown.

Please e-mail me on impact[AT]inside[DOT]net

Greets,
Piet

Dale - what's shaking? Haven't seen you on the board for a while. How'd that production with the restaurant scene work out?

Piet:

I'll figure out the shipping for you (I won't overcharge at all) and get back to you about it. Is $20 OK for the part? Shipping shouldn't be too much I think too.

I will probably go through the cheapest option (which is usually UPS), I'm boycotting Canada Post :)

Hey, how are you? I have been browsing the site a lot but just recently starting to write or respond to posts. The restaurant scene went great, thanks for asking! I owe you a Stella, yes? Your help was perfect, the lighting turned out so good and I was thrilled with it too. I filmed a bit down at Alice Fazooli's on Adelaide at the start of December too and the lighting was horrible in there haha. However, it was for personal use, not for the film, so it was OK :)

What have you been up to lately? Are you working on anything at all?

-Dale

HI Dale!

Yeah, 20 dollar Canadian is fine. And as for shipping: the cheapest, land based version will be sufficient. I would really like to keep the overall costs as low as possible! Thanks for helping me out here! :-)

E-mail me your coordinates so that I can send you my address, please!

And how do you want to do the money transfer? Do you have PayPal?

Greets,
Piet

Piet:

I meant $20 British (as in pounds). j/k lol, $20 Cdn. is fine :)

Let me check with UPS today and I'll write you back.

Paypal is fine too, I'll get back to you about this soon.

-Dale

Dale,

We'll get together sometime. Stella it is - great memory!

Just finished a somewhat disappointing shoot - it was a low budget pilot (read: no budget), so I ended up sinking a bit of my own cash into it. It was a lesson on how NOT to run a production (locations weren't properly organized or scouted, no budget for proper lighting etc. etc.). It was good experience simply from a shooting standpoint, but from an overall perspective it sucked.

So now we've got a couple of music videos in progress and I'm looking for *good* projects. :)

I'm at Queen and Augusta (just west of Spadina) if you're ever in the area and wanna grab a bear at Java House, Tortilla Flats, or wherever.

Cheers,
Nexis

I did some pro bono work for someone recently (home renovation) in which the agreement was to pass my name on to a film producer here in Toronto to set up a meeting. I haven't met with him yet as he's still out of the country but my plan is to meet with him, get some good questions I have answered but also to pitch a few (six or seven) of my ideas to him.

I have a pretty interesting concept that I want to explore in the next couple of months. A contact has already been made last month and with a bit of planning on my end, perhaps some filming as early as April.

Would you be interested in shooting some of this with me? I want to be behind the scenes in setting this up from a producer point of view (to sell) but I don't necessarily need to be behind the camera either. Of course, I'd be willing to use my gear too as a secondary camera and to pitch in whenever another hand/lens is needed.

I have to do some more work on this project but from the looks of things, it could be something really, really cool.

And, yes, I remember the Stella too... my wife just bought some tonight for her gal pal get-together tomorrow lol.

Hi Dale!

Ok, get back to me ON E-MAIL (!), when you're ready to pack and ship. I'll send you the payment on PayPal and my address there, ok?

Greets,
Piet

Hi Dale!

Did I miss your e-mail or message, or didn't you get back to me with the details of the transaction, yet?

Please message me on my e-mail instead of here, to fix the details, ok?!

Hi Debonnaire,

I found that the Panasonic mic mount didn't really work for me so I looked around for a mic holder for my HVX and in the end decided to make one. I made the base plate from steel and attached a Lightwave Audio mount to it. It works great and is quick and easy to attach the mic.

I may have another go at the design to give a little more finger room between the mount and the camera handle. I want to route the cable better too.

The foam underneath is so that I can attach my Audio Ltd 2020 radio receiver with velcro straps.

The Mic is a Sanken CS3e which is great but sometimes a bit too directional.

The mount is a bit 'rough-and-ready' but when the mic is on you can't see it. It is an exercise in function over form. I also didn't want to use the hot shoe as I have a camera light which I often use.

I know it's not what you are looking for but I thought it may interest forum members and hopefully get people to show how they have adapted things to fit mics to the HVX.

Weenie

Dale?! Are you still interested in selling your microphone holder or not?! I'd appreciate it, if you got back to me on e-mail. Whether it's to finalize the deal or to tell me it's off. Just make yourself clear. Thanks, man!

Oh well... guess silence means "Not gonna happen!" in the usual North American friendly way of simply ignoring the opposite party away... Shame!

I'll keep looking then...

Lol @ Freudenberg! Good one!
Why don't we do it the easiest and more reasonable way and you simply give me your totally superfluous mic holder and I'll let you know how it performs on my camera?! Deal???

No, seriously: do you have the mic holder for the HVX200, and if so, would you sell it? How much?

Does anybody has the mic holder pieces for sales? I will need the part with the screws and the mic holder for my panasonic hpx170. Please if somebody has them let me know.
