Why do my timelapses oscillate in size?

My EX1 timelapses pulse in size: the image grows and shrinks in size on a rapid cycle.

Check out this quick video to quickly see the problem: http://vimeo.com/3537579

Brand new EX1 (OK it's 6 weeks old). Shot at 720/30p with Interval Rec at 1 frame per second. EX Slow Shutter is set to 16. Philip Bloom's picture profile settings. Edited in FCP Studio 2.

Any advice?

If no one answers knowing the exact problem my suggestion would be to do a test making sure all auto functions are off as well as making sure steady shot, Flicker reduce , MF assist are off too.

Dean, thanks for the guidance. Let me ask a how-to question. Shooting solo how do I keep fast moving subjects in focus manually? Here are examples shot in 2X slow mo...check out the nature of the challenge at :50 and at 4:48 in this http://www.vimeo.com/3394913

The easiest way would be to use a follow focus. Set your marks for close and far. Then set how many marks you need in between. Pull focus by your marks, not your eye in the viewfinder. I like to make either my far or close mark a hand position where I can feel the mark. If the subject is coming closer, I will have my first mark be in a more awkward position because I can always look at my follow focus to double check at the beginning of the take. I always make the last position the most comfortable, so the focus pull is smooth and I can feel in my wrist where the final mark is. You can do this without a follow focus, but when pulling focus your only as good as your focus marks. As the barrel twists it will become harder to hit your marks when you can't see the next mark. Shooting wide open is also not a good idea. Your not in the sweet spot of the lens and your just making it harder on yourself.

I hope that helped.
