Video: Faster SD card = better image quality??

Does a faster SD card (e.g., 30 mb/s as opposed to 15 mb/s) mean that the D90 will use less video compression and hence equate to better video quality? I love the D90 but returned it because of bad compression artifacts in the video. But perhaps it was partially my fault for using slower SDHC cards...? I've searched forums for this answer and haven't found a definitive answer.

yeah, 15 or 30 mega*bytes* per second doesn't matter when the bitrate is around 15 mega*bit*.

I've got 30MBps cards and the D90 is regularly only recording 10mbps onto the card......it's very sad. google if you want to convert bytes to bits

Yeah the question is whether you know what i meant. Card speed is measured in bytes, video bitrate in bits. Thus you have an 8x over capacity even with the slow card, thus it doesn't matter.
