Why not just go with reputable rental houses? NYC is a large city..

[DVXguy]

I checked with a couple and they didn't have one..figured since I need it for a couple days I would try here.

Thats pretty funny, I prob would have done the same thing.

How much is the rental price at Fotocare?

[DVXguy]

$195.. I'm sure for the body only.. people should probably think about renting this camera out.. makes alot more sense then buying a red.. I rented my RED last shoot for $400. This is roughly $200 and is a tenth the purchase price.

[Oynk]

Rental in LA is also $200 for body only. (Samy's Camera)

Glad to hear they had some for you. We rented Canon 5D MK II (with 17-35mm, 50mm, 85mm) with 2 Kino Flos for 5 Days and got some fantastic footage. Enjoy.

Ps, when you shooting ?

$200.00 a week a day a month?

[DVXguy]

a day.. apparently the guy can't keep it in stock.. you need to book at least a week ahead of time.

i rented a 5D (mark I) from adorama for $250 a day, two years ago. 200 is a good rate.

[StormFactory]

I'm thinking about renting mine out in Los Angeles with 16GB of RAM and a lens.

[ESTEBEVERDE]

I am thinking of buying one or two to rent out.

What do you guys think?

I live in the SF Bay Area so the market should be big enough no?
